RUSSIA UK NEWS (Russia to expel UK diplomats)

Moscow/London: Russia will soon expel British diplomats in relation for Britain's decision to kick out 23 Russian envoys over a chemiczl attact on a former Russian double agent, foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday.                                                                                                              In London ,foreign secretary Boris Johnson ratcheted up the rhetoric against Russia , accusing it of glorying in the attact  on Sergei Skripal , which he described as a way of scaring anyone who stood up to President Vladimir Puttin.                                                                                                      Britain says Russia is responsible for the poisoning with a soviet-era 'Novichok' nerve agent of skripal ,66 and his daughter Yulia ,33. They were found unconscious on March 4 in the city of Salisbury in sourthern England and remain critically ill in hospital.

Washington:US president Donald TRUMP will support a modest set of fixes to gun laws , stepping back from some of the more sweeping changes he had considered after the country’s latest mass school shootings, senior officials told reporters on Sunday . Opting for a plan the administration officials described as “pragmatic”,the TRUMP backed legislation proposed in Congress aimed at providing more data for the back ground check system – database of people who are not legally allowed to buy guns. More contentious proposals, such as raising the minimum age for buying guns to 21 from 18 , or requiring background checks for guns bought at gun shows or on the interest, it will be studied by a commission headed by education secretary Betsy DeVos, the officials said. The justice department will also provide an unspecified amount of grants to states that want to train teachers to carry guns in school – an idea already in place in a small number of states , and backed by the National Rifle

Veteran Washington lawyer Emmet Flood is under consideration for a white House job assisting US president Trump with the Russia probe , according to a person familiar with the matter  Flood, who advised former president Bill Clinton in impeachment proceeding, met with Trump in the white House this week ,the person said , but not decision about the job has been made.The meeting comes as TRUMp'S outside legal team has been negotiating with US special counsel Robert Mueller over a possible interview with the president,another person close to the situation said. Mueller is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, whether there was any collision with the Trump campaign,and possibly obstruction, of justice related to the probe. Washington:North korea’s leader Kim jong-un ,has invited president Trump to meet for negotiations over its nuclear programme, an audacious diplomatic overture that would bring together two strong willed , idiosyncratic leaders who have traded threats of war. Us President Trump’s lawyer secretly obtaining a temporary restraining order last week to prevent a pornographic film star from speaking out about her alleged affair with Trump. The order pertained to the actress stormy Daniels, who had been paid $ 13,000 shortly before the 2016 election in what she calls a “hush agreement”. The details of the order emerged on the order on Wednesday after a White House’s spokeswoman said Trump’s lawyer had won an arbitration proceeding against Daniels. The turn of events created the spectacle of a sitting president using legal maneuvers to avoid further scrutiy of salacious accusations of an affair and a payoff involving the pornstar.

US NEWS (TRUMP TO FORGE AHEAD WITH METAL TARRIFFS)

WASHINGTON: More than 100 Republican lawmakers implored President Trump to drop plans for stiff and sweeping steel and aluminium tariffs as the white House prepared to formalize the measures on Thursday afternoon. Official said late on Wednesday and the plan would initially exempt Canada ultimately exclude other allies. Peter Navarro, a top White House trade adviser, said on wednesday night that the president would hold a signing ceremony later on Thursday in the Oval office. He said the tariffs would go into effect in 15 to 30 days ."The proclamation will have a clause that does not impose these tariffs immediately on Canada and Mexico",Navarro said in an interview on Fox Business Network. A permanent exclusion will hinge on those countries agreeing to a "great" trade deal in the ongoing renegotiation of the North American Free Trade agreement, Navarro said ."We are going to open this up for our allies to just see if we can work through this problem".

WASHINGTON: A man fatally shot himself on the crowded pedestrian avenue directly in front of the white House on Saturday, The secret service said a white male approached the fence north of the White House at about 11:46 am, ” removed a concealed handgun and fired several rounds, none of which appear at this time to have been directed towards the White House” . The man’s identify is being withheld pending notification of kin , the secret service said in a statement. While as many as 100 people mostly tourists were on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House at the time ,no one else was reported hurt , the secret service said.
